Vehicle Condition
* Original owner bike. I purchased this bike strictly for the eye
candy. Never intended to ride much. This is definitely one attention
getting, head turning motorcycle for sure. This bike has been
immaculately kept and is in showroom condition. The bike has been on
display in my living room since the day I purchased it with the
exception of an occasional trip around the block to warm up the
internals. Thus the 1,054 miles. That averages out to about 21 miles a
month over the past 4 years. The initial break-in period is 1,000 so
the bike is just barely broken in. I am a stickler on maintenance and
that includes break-in procedures for new machinery. As such, the bike
has always been operated within the factory prescribed rpm ranges over
the entire break-in period. The oil has been changed every 4 months.
The bike has never been exposed to extreme temperatures or rain. I keep
a Yuasa Battery Tender attached to the battery at all times so the
battery has been kept fresh and fully charged from day one.
* The bike is original with the exception of a few add-ons added at the
time of purchase. The add-ons include: 1) Termignoni carbon fiber
slip-on mufflers with stainless steel exhaust extensions, 2) carbon
fiber clutch cover, 3) carbon fiber front sprocket cover, 4) twin
carbon fiber air intakes and 5) carbon fiber exhaust heat shield.
(NOTE: ALL CARBON FIBER PIECES ARE DUCATI PERFORMANCE. ONLY THE GOOD
STUFF.) These pieces were added to enhance the overall look of the
bike. All the original factory parts removed are packaged in the
original boxes and included with the bike. A carbon fiber patterned
magnetic tank bra by MagKnight (not shown) was added to protect the
sides of the gas tank. The bike also comes with a yellow FG paddock
stand, which is special order from Ducati Performance. This is a roller
stand and has a wheel chock accessory. The standard blue paddock stand
is also included with the bike. The bike also comes with a Custom
Bostrom Replica #155 cover made by Ducati specifically for this bike. .
This is no cheap dust cover. Cost over $200. Absolutely beautiful!!!
* All original purchase documentation and receipts, along with the owners manual, are included with the bike.
* The bike was featured in the June 2002 issue of the The Robb Report
magazine. This particular issue was entitled The Best of the Best. I
had reprints from the magazine professionally mounted and framed ($300)
in a nice picture display piece. The picture colors accent the overall
display of the bike very well and makes for a nice conversation piece.
This is also included with the bike.
* There is a small chip on the corner of the right side mirror. Accidentally bumped the living room wall while moving the bike.
* This bike did not come with a commemorative special edition plaque
like the Hailwood model released the same year. However, I did retain
the original wooden packing crate side panels to document original
purchase. The wooden panels are mounted in my garage and in very good
condition. These are included with the bike if the buyer so desires.
